2014 Meeting Dates and Topics
February 12th | We will look at, or listen to, iTunes Radio which is now available in Australia. We will then look at features restored in late January update of iWork and how Pages and Numbers integrate between Mac and iOS devices. Also a nostalgic look at 30 years of Macintosh (including parts of an early Steve Jobs presentation.) |
March 12th | Filemaker 13 presented by David Head. David is the Systems Engineer at FileMaker International, Inc. in Sydney |
April 9th | What are your favourite iOS apps? The suggestion from the Q&A session on Wednesday was that we look at iOS apps. Possibly also the latest updates to Pages, Numbers and Keynote and any Apple news. |
May 14th | We will take a look at contents of some recent releases from Take Control Books. (The Cloud, Your Online Privacy and Apple TV). Some games on the iPad. Other miscellaneous topics from Q & A. + ??????. |
June 11th | Tony Healy will look at Camera RAW and HDR and we will look at OS X Yosemite and iOS 8 which were announced at WWDC last Tuesday |
July 9th | We will look at the WWDC presentation on iOS8 and other things from WWDC we missed last month. We also plan to look at favourite iOS Apps. |
August 13th | All going well, we will look at FileVault (should you be using it, how well does it work, improvements since its first release), play with Time Machine, play with Wacom's pressure sensitive stylus for iPad and have a Q & A session. The meeting should end by 8.30 pm. |
September 10th | All the latest from Apple's Event held just 15 hours earlier in Cupertino. |
October 8th (AGM) | Following AGM Chris Sundstrom will look at Python, we will look at iOS 8, and also discover how to use iTunes to create your own ringtones from your music. |
November 12th | We will look at Yosemite and iOS 8. We might need other questions to fill in the time and plan to finish by 8.30 pm |
December 10th (Pizza!) | Q&A on Safari, AirDrop to transfer Files from iOS 8 to Mac (Yosemite) and vice versa and Screen Capture Movie of iOS device using Quicktime (if devices connected by USB cable) |
